IWS FR-Build Treated Timber
The IWS FR-Build Treated Timber utilises a water-based blend of synergistic flame retardant ingredients which was developed with only the timber building fabric in mind. The treatment was designed for structural timbers and formulated to provide robust resistance to site construction fires. It’s an audited, factory produced, controlled treatment and does not contain halides (chlorides or bromides), metals, phosphates or volatile organic compounds.
As a result, IWS FR-Build treatment is suitable for timber studs, joists, rails, plywood and OSB components used in timber frame
IWS FR-Build OSB
Our IWS FR-Build OSB is compliant with the STA’s new guidance, which was designed to help clients, designers and CDM co-ordinators consider the risk of fire neighbouring buildings should a fire occur in a timber frame building during construction. EGGER Eurostrand OSB3 has been specifically designed to provide not only dimensional stability and high load bearing properties but also the ability to perform in humid conditions. All Eurostrand OSB 3 is supplied pre conditioned with a minimum moisture content of 5% which helps to reduce possible dimensional movement offering better overall dimensional stability. 100% formaldehyde free content is equivalent to natural wood and is CE-certified according to EN 13986. Eurostrand OSB 3 has been independently certified by the BBA (No.08/4546) as a load bearing oriented strand board for use in humid conditions.

IWS-FAST Chipboard
Our IWS-Fast Chipboard has a weather resistant peel clean top surface layer, which results in a product that offers protection from moisture penetration. The base product, EGGER Peel Clean Xtra, is manufactured to the specification of EN312, is regularly audited independently and has full chain-of-custody and has been independently certified as a chipboard flooring board capable of providing temporary weather protection prior to completion of the building envelope. The chipboard has a reactive Hot Melt Polyurethane coating rolled on which when cured forms a FR barrier and creates FAST® Chipboard providing robustness against fire.
